Starting Off With a Bang

Life has been bliss since we finished finals and moved out of our apartment. We've had tons of time to just hang out and talk, watch movies, and enjoy the California sunshine! We've missed being able to go outside; I'm so excited we'll be able to enjoy the sun all summer!

We started our summer by going to Disneyland with Ty's parents. Fun! Before we got to the happiest place on earth, we made a quick stop in Bakersfield and said hi to Ty's grandma. It was my first time meeting her and I absolutely love her! She is the sweetest lady. We had fun watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune with her and listening to her tell us about her friends and about her Sit & Stretch class.


The next day we started our adventure in Disneyland. It's always so fun to go. The weather was so nice that day



We went on all the big rides and got really lucky with the lines, we never had to wait more than 30 minutes! Awesome.

We then shot the bad guys on the Buzz Lightyear ride. I'd never been on it before but it was so fun! I love all the detail they put into everything. I can't remember what our scores were, but I do remember that I beat Ty. I have to brag a little bit :)



Once we were on the ride Jenny said "let me see your guns" and Ty couldn't pass up the opportunity to show off his massive muscles...

Thunder Mountain Railroad,




Indiana Jones,



Peter Pan,



and lots of others. We had lots of fun!

The next day we headed over to Universal Studios. This was a lot of fun too, I hadn't been there in a long time and a lot had changed. Once again the weather was beautiful and there weren't a ton of people!

We also went on the tour they give of the different sets that have been used in lots of movies






After our day at Universal Studios, we had dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse called Samba. Ty was SO excited to go. It was a fun experience and the food was really good!



Thank you Paul and Jenny for such a great trip, we had a blast!

    I beat Ben on the Buzz ride too! Hahaha!! Always a fun time at Disneyland! I can't wait for the warm weather!

    Those are great pictures. You two always look like you are having fun. Whether you are posing in a snowy parking lot or on a ride at Disneyland. Love it!
