Happy Thanksgiving!

This last week was a blast. It was so nice to have a break from school and to hang out with our families! The drive home was pretty scary. The plan was to go all the way to Coloma on Saturday but there was a huge storm in the mountains so we decided to stay in Reno with my family and leave the next day. It took us 5 hours to get to Coloma on Sunday because of the weather (it usually just takes 2 hours). The roads were so scary! There was snow and ice and cars were slipping everywhere. We ended up having to put chains on the tires

Because of the chains we had to go pretty slow. It was kind of nice thought, the scenery was beautiful.

We spent a couple days in Coloma and had Thanksgiving on Monday with Ty's family. It was great to see everyone!

and the food was delicious!

We then went to San Jose to meet up with my family and some other friends. We had fun playing a dancing game on the Wii. Ty and my brother danced to "Eye of the Tiger"

and my dad and sister danced to "Who Let the Dogs Out"

Then we ate more yummy food

hung out with friends

and danced, and danced, and danced!

The drive home was long and a little stressful. It took us 7 hours to get through the mountains, and then 12 and half hours to get to Idaho from Reno

There was a lot of traffic and we saw a ton of accidents. We're so thankful we made it back to Idaho safely. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

  1. You guys are dancing FOOLS! I love it. So glad you made it back home safely. We took our turn being stuck on icy roads. JUST BE GLAD you didn't have a baby screaming in the back seat. It makes it that much more awesome, let me tell you. Love you guys.

  3. I thought about you guys having to drive through all the storms. The day before Thanksgiving they ended up closing I15 down all the way in parts of ID and WY because they were so icy. Glad you made it back safely! I was scared! Wish we could have spent Thanksgiving with you guys. Maybe next year. LOVE YOU!

  7. Wow! That does sound scary. So glad you had each other. I guess we made the right decision to stay home. If our drive was any longer than normal, our kids would go crazy! Happy that you are safe. Phew!
