Playing Catch-Up

Goodness, it's been a while. The last month or so has been out of control. We've had so many different things going on, but it's all been a blast!

We started our winter break by going to the dedication of the BYU-Idaho Center. It was amazing! The speakers were great and the building is incredible (it will be my new home this semester because that is where Ty will be playing basketball). Then we packed our things and headed home! We spent the night in Utah with Ben, Terri, and Olivia. The boys went to a concert so we had a little girls night! We watched movies, played with Olivia, and Terri cut my hair (I love it!).

The next day we drove to Reno and spent the rest of the week with my family. I just have to say, I love going home. I don't know why, but I was extremely homesick the whole semester. Going home was exactly what I needed! My mom sure kept us busy. Ty and I helped my her make tamales

and salsa. Every year my family goes caroling in spanish and we hand out chips and salsa to people in our ward. It's one of my favorite things about the holiday season and I'm glad Ty got to experience it this year. I'm sure it won't be his last time caroling in spanish :)

We spent Christmas eve with some family friends. All of the kids put on a Christmas pageant. So cute!

my brother was one of the wise men.

We opened presents with my family on Christmas morning

and then headed to Coloma after breakfast. In Coloma we hung out with family,

played all sorts of games,

snuggled,

and went to San Francisco for the day! The weather was perfect

We love walking around San Francisco. We stopped and watched some acrobats that were performing on the sidewalk

We also went to Chinatown which was quite the experience!

We spent new years eve at the Riverhouse. We loved being around all the kiddies and can't wait to hang out with them again!

Happy New Year!

  6. How come everyone is so nice to you? I'm jealous! Maybe I need to learn to speak Spanish, make tamales and be sweet and quite like you then I can earn back the favorite girl-in-law title that I enjoyed for many years.

Just kidding... I love having you in the family even though you and Dara totally stole my fun title. And I wish I were as sweet as you! It was great seeing you and I can't wait for your summer out here - it will be fun to see you guys more often!
